Detail Information
Product description
The Sinoseen OV7725 camera module features the advanced Omnivision OV7725 image sensor, delivering outstanding low-light performance and high frame rate. This CMOS VGA camera supports a wide range of image formats and resolutions, including VGA, QVGA, and more, with full user control via the SCCB interface. Enhanced by proprietary sensor technology, the OV7725 offers noise reduction, de-noise level auto adjust, and automatic image control functions like Automatic Exposure Control (AEC) and Automatic White Balance (AWB), ensuring exceptional image quality. Ideal for battery-powered products like cellular phones, PDAs, and compatible with Arduino, STM32, ARM platforms.
Upgrade your project with Sinoseen’s OV7725 camera module for superior imaging in any condition.
Product Overview
Built around the 1/4-inch OV7725 CMOS sensor, this module combines VGA image capture with an integrated image processor. Its 6.0 μm pixels and automatic image controls provide a basis for color capture under varying illumination. Exposure, gain and white balance settings can be configured through the SCCB control interface.
The module uses a DVP interface for image transfer to a compatible host. The specified camera base measures 8 × 8 mm, with a total height of 5.1 ±0.2 mm. A fixed-focus optical configuration supports applications with a defined viewing distance, while the 100° diagonal field of view provides broad scene coverage. Actual working distance and image detail should be evaluated with the selected lens and target scene.
Key Features
VGA Color Imaging
Captures 640 × 480 images for observation, preview and basic visual analysis where VGA detail is sufficient.
Compact Mechanical Design
An 8 × 8 mm camera base and 5.1 ±0.2 mm total height support integration into compact assemblies. Full assembly dimensions depend on the FPC and connector configuration.
DVP Image Transfer and SCCB Control
Uses DVP for image data transfer and SCCB for sensor configuration. Host integration requires matching electrical levels, pin assignments and interface timing.
Integrated Image Processing
Sensor functions include automatic exposure, automatic gain, automatic white balance, noise reduction and defect correction. Image settings can be tuned for the intended lighting conditions.
Fixed Focus with a Wide Field of View
The specified lens offers a 100° ±3° diagonal field of view. Fixed focus suits installations with a defined target distance and avoids the need for autofocus control.
VGA Sensor Operation up to 60 fps
The OV7725 supports up to 60 fps at VGA resolution. Delivered frame rate depends on clock settings, exposure, output format and the host capture system.

OEM/ODM Customization & Development Process
Match the Camera to Your Integration Requirements
A suitable camera configuration must fit both the imaging task and the device structure. Sinoseen provides OEM/ODM camera module services and can assess changes to the optical setup, flexible-circuit layout, connection arrangement, and supported operating configuration.
| Project Requirement | Areas for Engineering Review | Information to Provide |
| The camera does not fit the enclosure | Camera-head placement, FPC outline, and routing | Mechanical drawings and available space |
| cene coverage or working distance is unsuitable | Lens selection, field of view, and focus setting | Target dimensions and capture distance |
| The host connection differs from the standard design | Connector, pin assignment, and interface configuration | Host specifications and connection requirements |
| Moving targets require sharper capture | Exposure, lighting, and supported frame-rate modes | arget speed, sample images, and lighting conditions |
| he project requires infrared imaging | Filter and lens suitability | Illumination wavelength and imaging requirements |
Customization feasibility, development scope, cost, and lead time are confirmed after engineering review.
Customization Process
Step 1 — Share Your Requirements
Provide the application, host platform, required resolution and frame rate, working distance, installation space, and estimated quantity.
Step 2 — Review the Configuration
Assess the sensor operating mode, interface, lens, and mechanical arrangement. Identify any changes required for the target device.
Step 3 — Confirm Drawings and Evaluation Criteria
Agree on the configuration, connection details, mechanical revision, and sample acceptance requirements before prototype production.
Step 4 — Evaluate Samples
Test image quality, sustained frame rate, exposure behavior, host integration, and mechanical fit in the actual operating environment.
Step 5 — Approve the Production Configuration
Confirm the accepted sample, drawings, optical components, and operating configuration before proceeding with volume production.
